another sleepless night....

Another sleepless night last night. Up every hour to hour and a half! Seriously! He cries until I nurse him but I cannot continue to nurse him that often throughout the night! Arches his back a lot too. I've decided to keep a journel so when any doctor questions me I can just hand them the journal and tell them to read. I have dates of everything he's gone through, along with medications prescribed. I did some research yesterday and stumbled across some support groups and also another blog from a mom going through something very similar. I e-mailed her and hope to hear more of her story. She's actuallly from Madison, Wi!!!

I'm debating about whether to call the doctor or not. I am really doubting that teething lasts this long! It will be a week tomorrow. Pain medicine doesn't even do anything for him. My mind is boggled....

Tired...

I am so tired. I feel like I have a newborn in the house. Wait...I take that back, I think I'm up more with Camden some nights than I ever was with a newborn. Crazy! The past few nights haven't been good, but last night was the icing on the cake! He went to sleep at 8:30 and by 9:45 he was up screaming. I couldn't calm him down at all. Even nursing, which is the usual trick to calm him down, didn't work. It was a terrible reminder of the first few months with him. Crying, crying, crying. Josh even got up near midnight to help me out. He figured maybe Camden wanted someone other than Mom. ha, ha....I thought yeah, right. But I graciously accepted the offer to take Camden. I had had it! Although it didn't calm me anymore or let me get any sleep because Camden continued to cry. I'm not sure what to do. Through the crying, Josh and I were trying to have a conversation about him and what to do. I think we've decided to do allergy testing on Camden. I think that has to be our first building block or starting point. I know they're not 100 percent, but at least we'll know if something is off the charts and have a gauge of things to stay away from for a bit. He refuses to swallow the reflux medicine, he definitely has a reaction to dairy and continues to have rashes/hives. Now we need to find a good pediatric allergiest. I am nervous about introducing foods to him. I have started trying cereal more often the past few days and I wonder if the crying is a reaction to cereal. Or something I ate, reflux, teething...who knows! He has had a low-grade fever for a few days. It comes and goes. I don't personally think it's good for a baby to have what seems like a constant low-grade fever.

Meanwhile, I'm struggling through my day again. Poor Logan, I'm sure he wonders why Mom is so short and crabby some days.....like today. I've just put the two of them down for naptime, and I am going to finish up a short job and then try to fit in a power nap. I don't know how I'll make it through the evening without one.

On another note....I'm proud of my hubby for sitting and watching Mama Mia with me last night. :) The ending was cut short by a screaming Camden, but he watched it with me. Heehee!

Camden and Logan

Isaac, 10 years

I know I am l-o-n-g overdue with posting and once again, I apologize. I was crazy insanely busy with work and then learning a new computer. Not to mention, we had a very long sick February around here, mainly with Camden. But alas, we are all doing better!
Yes, believe it or not, we have a 10-year old!!!! Yikes! where did that decade go? My very firstborn son Isaac is 10! I am so proud of the young boy he is growing to be.
Isaac, you are so kind, respectful, and caring of others. You see a need and address it. God has very special things in store for you. Continue to walk with Him and He will bless you. I know this past year hasn't been the easiest for you, but you are sticking with it and trying your hardest and that's the best you can do. I pray for you daily.
Isaac received a guinea pig for his birthday. He has wanted one for years and been saving up his own money. We were less than thrilled with the idea at first but Isaac's persistance wore on us. We gave in and surprised him! The guinea pig is a SHE and Isaac named her Ginger because she is white and a ginger color. She is only eight weeks old. Isaac has thanked us probably 100 times for her. He absolutely loves her and she appears to be taking to him quite well. Logan was a little unsure of her at first but he's even come around. Although, he still holds her with a blanket over him. :)
Isaac's friend birthday party is tomorrow, Saturday. We are going bowling! And hoping the snow storm doesn't come until afterwards---or misses us all together!
I hope spring and the warmer weather inspires me to write more. That, or the ease of having my computer any where I want it!!! :)
