It figures! The night I’m supposed to go out with a friend and I’m really looking forward to it because I’ve been trapped in the house for six days, I get sick. And then they start dropping like flies…
I woke up yesterday feeling nauseous every now and then. I figured something I ate wasn’t agreeing with me and continued on with my day. I went downhill about midmorning and cancelled school. I just couldn’t do it. I never threw up, but I just didn’t feel good at all and every time I moved, I felt more sick to my stomach. I couldn’t wait until naptime so I could take a nap too.
Halfway into my nap, Isaac came in and said his stomach hurt and he didn’t feel that good. Honestly, I didn’t take him too seriously. I told him just to go lay down and rest. About an hour later he was throwing up and had diarrhea. And then two hours after that, Logan started throwing up. Ugh!
The night was interesting. I called my friend to cancel, Josh came home and wished he had stayed at work, Logan and Isaac kept throwing up. Somehow neither one seemed to make it to the toilet in time. My house has no rugs in the kitchen, hallway or bathrooms. I have gone through two rolls of paper towel and two containers of cleaning wipes. I was doing laundry at 1:00 a.m. and 3:00 a.m. for goodness sake!
And let me tell you, it’s not fun taking care of sick ones when you’re sick yourself. It seemed like every time I laid down to fall asleep, someone would wake up with puke, diarrhea or just crying. It was a long night.
Thankfully, I am feeling better today and so is Logan. Isaac is slowly getting better. It seems to have hit him the hardest.
Eli is afraid that he’s going to be hit next and honestly, he probably will. Don’t tell him that though! He bursts into tears just thinking about getting sick and throwing up. I’m praying that Camden doesn’t get it. He just got better on Monday from his last illness and really doesn’t need another virus. But then again, who ever needs a virus???
I hope you all are staying healthy. Wash your hands, take your vitamins, stay home and most importantly, pray for God’s protection.
